Estimating for every kind of build
Whether you're pricing a granny flat or a cold store, you get the same estimators, the same fixed-fee quote and the same 24–48 hour turnaround.
Residential estimating
New homes, extensions, renovations and granny flats, priced before you commit to a number.
On a house job the margin is thin and the client's budget is fixed. Miss a retaining wall or under-count the plasterboard and the difference comes out of your pocket. We measure every trade from your plans, so the price you send is one you can build to.
- For
- Builders, renovators, building designers and owner-builders
- Covers
- New homes, duplexes, extensions, renovations, granny flats and townhouses
- Turnaround
- 24–48 hours from the accepted quote
- Delivered as
- Excel estimate with a trade summary and itemised takeoff, plus marked-up drawings
Commercial estimating
Offices, retail, fit-outs, childcare, medical and mixed-use, priced trade by trade for tender.
Commercial tenders arrive with big drawing sets and short closing dates. We split the job by trade, measure each one and give you a bill of quantities you can send to your subbies for pricing, or submit as it stands.
- For
- Head contractors, subcontractors, developers and design firms
- Covers
- New builds, fit-outs, refurbishments and multi-residential
- Turnaround
- 24–48 hours for most jobs. Larger sets get a date in the quote
- Delivered as
- A bill of quantities ready for tender, in our template or yours
Industrial estimating
Warehouses, sheds, factories and plant upgrades, with quantities, labour hours and cost analysis.
Industrial jobs carry large quantities of concrete, steel and cladding, where a small rate error becomes a large number. We measure the heavy trades carefully and show our working, so you can check every line before you bid.
- For
- Industrial builders, developers and owners
- Covers
- Warehouses, steel sheds, factories, cold stores and plant work
- Turnaround
- Agreed in the quote, based on the size of the set
- Delivered as
- Itemised quantities, labour hours and cost analysis
Quantity takeoffs & BOQs
Just the quantities, measured trade by trade, when you'd rather apply your own rates.
Plenty of contractors know their rates better than anyone and only need the measuring done. We take off the quantities and mark up your drawings in colour, so you can see exactly what was counted and where it came from.
- For
- Builders and subbies with their own pricing, and suppliers quoting materials
- Covers
- Full-project or single-trade takeoffs across 12 trades
- Turnaround
- 24–48 hours. Single trades are often sooner
- Delivered as
- Excel takeoff sheet plus colour-marked PDF drawings
Cost planning for designers & owners
Early cost checks from concept or DA drawings, so the design stays inside the budget.
It is far cheaper to change a design than a building. A cost check at concept or DA stage tells you whether the design fits the budget before your client falls in love with it, and shows which elements are driving the cost.
- For
- Architects, building designers, developers and owners
- Covers
- Concept, DA and design-development estimates, feasibility and budget checks
- Turnaround
- 24–48 hours from the accepted quote
- Delivered as
- Elemental cost plan with allowances, assumptions and exclusions

How much does an estimate cost?
It depends on the size of the job and how many trades you need. Send the drawings and we reply with a fixed fee before any work starts, so there are no surprises.
How quickly will I get it?
Most residential estimates and single-trade takeoffs arrive within 24–48 hours of you accepting the quote. Large commercial or industrial sets get a firm delivery date in the quote.
What drawings do you need?
A PDF set is enough to start: plans, elevations, sections and any engineering. Specifications and finishes schedules let us price more accurately. Concept and DA drawings are fine for a cost plan.
Do you price at Australian rates?
Yes. Labour and material rates are matched to the state and region the job is in. If you'd rather use your own supplier or subcontractor prices, send them and we'll build the estimate around them.
What format will the estimate be in?
An Excel workbook with a trade summary and itemised takeoff, in our template or yours, plus colour-marked PDF drawings showing what we measured.
Can you price just one trade?
Yes. You can order a full-project estimate or a takeoff for a single trade, such as concrete, framing or electrical.
What if the drawings change?
Send the revised drawings or the addendum and we update the estimate. Small changes are turned around quickly; a major redesign is quoted like a new job.
How do I pay?
We send an invoice with the quote. You can pay by credit or debit card, bank transfer or PayPal.
Are my drawings kept private?
Always. Your plans, prices and client details are only used for your estimate and are never shared. We're happy to sign an NDA before you send anything.
